a bolivian salt hotel


Here is the little salt hotel we stayed in after we visited the salt flats of Uyuni.  It's made of (you guessed it) salt bricks.

We had electricity:


But the lights inside made you look green:


And there were only two shared bathrooms for everyone.

In the morning, we discovered after walking through this other hallway with powdery salt on the floor...


an extra sink outside that we used to brush our teeth.  Sweet.  It's all about the little things when you're traveling...


We ate here, on tables and benches also made of salt bricks:
